  Front door

  To open the front door, turn the key to release the latch and push the door — the handle doesn't turn from the outside, so the key does all the work. Do make sure you have your key with you whenever you leave, as the door latches automatically behind you and can't be opened without it.

  Windows

  Please close any large windows before heading out. This helps protect the unit and keeps the temperature comfortable on your return.

  Dark skies

  We sit within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and are proud to be mindful of its precious dark skies. Do please switch off any lights you're not using when you leave a room or head out for the evening. On a clear night, the stars here are genuinely worth stepping outside for.

• 🍯

  Honey from our hive

  We keep bees on site and produce a small batch of Baldslow honey each year. Jars are available to buy and can be found in the kitchen, along with pricing and payment instructions. We hope you enjoy it.

  Muddy shoes & boots

  There is a small outside storage cupboard for muddy shoes and boots — please leave footwear here rather than bringing it inside. Perfect walking country inevitably comes with perfect walking mud.
